Diwa: Studies in Philosophy and Theology (Diwa) is a refereed journal published twice a year by the Graduate Schools of Divine Word Seminary and Christ the King Mission Seminary in the Philippines. First published in 1976, Diwa is released every May and November. It features scholarly articles, critical lectures, book reviews, and book notices by faculty members of Christ the King Seminary and Divine Word Seminary and other invited scholars. Diwa is currently available only in print; its online version will be accessible in 2010. Meanwhile, copies are available in Portable Document Format by writing directly to the editor.

History

The journal was first published in October 1976. The title refers to the mission: Diwa was "launched to serve as an effective and suitable vehicle for dialogue and dissemination of thoughts and ideas, (in Tagalog, mga diwa) "[1] Likewise, it was meant "to stimulate and promote scholarly research and make the fruit of such research available to a wider circle of readers and thinkers (mga kadiwa)".[1]. The first article was on Nicolas Berdyaev written by Roderick C. Salazar, Jr., SVD.[2]
